Rebel Girls Pick up a Big Win on the Road

Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Westwood Girls Basketball Team picked up a big Western Valley Conference road win defeating Ridge View Raptors 53 - 42. The Rebels started out the game well by leading after the 1st quarter 14 - 9 with Sibenaller, Holtz and Toben leading the way. The Rebels then got themselves into foul trouble and the Raptors came back and after 3 quarters the game was tied 30 - 30. In the 4th quarter the Rebels picked up their defensive intensity and started a 10 - 0 run led by Mykenzie Whitney who scored all of her 10 points in the quarter and Brooklyn Topf with 6 points. The Rebels were led in scoring by Beth Sibenaller with 15 points & 9 rebounds, Mykenzie Whitney with 10 points & 5 steals. The Rebels are now 5 - 1 overall and 3 - 1 in the Western Valley Conference. They will play Siouxland Community Christian on Thursday, December 18th to finish up their season before Christmas.
The JV Girls Basketball Team picked up another victory by defeating Ridge View 10 - 2 in a 2 quarter contest. The Rebels were led by Alyson McFarland with 6 points. The Rebels are now 4 - 1. NICE JOB LADY REBELS!!!!
